The sell-off of Amyris brands has continued, with Sakana acquiring Naomi Watts' Stripes menopausal beauty brand for $500,000, plus any assumed liabilities. At the same time, AA Investments is acquiring Rose Inc. for $2.5 million.

And, as previously reported, JVN Hair has been acquired by Windsong Global for $1.25 million.

Previously (December 4, 2023): Amyris has sold four of its consumer brands at auction, according to court documents.

Amyris filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware and then sough an approval for auctioning off its brands.

THG Beauty purchased Biossance for $20 million, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories purchased MenoLabs for $3 million, HRB Brands purchased Pipette for $1.75 million and Scent Theory Products purchased 4U by Tia for $600,000.

It is unclear the status of Amyris' remaining brands.

In August, Amyris and its domestic subsidiaries filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Notably, Amyris planned to exit its consumer brands and began marketing them for sale.

Those brands included Biossance, JVN, Pipette, Rose Inc., Stripes, Menolabs, Olika and Terasana.

The news came as Amyris reportedly began winding down its Onda Beauty and Costa Brazil brands.
